To handle the power in front-wheel drive, it uses the Visco Drive system, a viscous limited-slip differential that helps with traction and reduces torque steer effect. The exterior was designed by Chris Bangle (Centro Stile Fiat) and the interior by Pininfarina, featuring iconic details like the body-colored strip on the dashboard and the retro-style aluminum fuel cap. Although the 20v Turbo model (5 cylinders) is more powerful from factory (220 hp) , the 16v Turbo maintains a special status due to its direct connection to Lancia's rally lineage.
